Finding "The One"

Last Saturday I went shopping with two of my wonderful maids, Rachel and Nicole. We went to Bridal Couture in Addison and also Terry Costa. The former was a great experience with great customer service and the latter was...meh. I haven't completely made up my mind, but the second dress I tried on at Bridal Couture I think will be "the one." All of the dresses I tried on afterwards just didn't compare to "Number 2," as Nicole and Rachel kept calling it. I am going to try on some more this weekend, just to be sure.

We also looked at bridesmaid dress. Nicole did the honor of being the dress model. The picture above is one of our favorites (jk). Finding the right bridesmaids dresses is going to be a more challenging than I thought. In addition to the many opinions and body types to consider, I am kind of bridezilla-ish when it comes to the color. Just plain navy isn't what I've envisioned. It needs to be lighter than navy, but not veer into royal blue territory. Psycho, I know.

With everything so up in the air, Greg and I have found "the one" for us, though. We are going to compete in the Texas Man Olympic-distance Triathlon on May 17th (my 26th Birthday). We decided on this one a few weeks ago and got started on mapping out our training plans this week. For my last three triathlons, which were sprint distances, I used the training plan from Beginner Triathlete. I think this time we are going to do a 13-week program from a book called Triathloning for Ordinary Mortals. We won't start officially training until February, but we both have some preliminary work to do in order to get a solid base to start the program.

So the lesson here is finding "the one" isn't always... easy?
I'm Ron Burgundy?
